Settlement should come only after responsible parties, applicable liability coverage, UM/UIM rights, damages, liens and reimbursement interests have been identified.

  • Identify every person and entity being released.
  • Review general-release, indemnity, hold-harmless, confidentiality and attorney-fee provisions.
