NEBRASKA GUIDE 02
Required Auto Insurance & Minimum Limits in Nebraska
Nebraska’s statutory automobile liability minimums are $25,000 for bodily injury or death to one person, $50,000 for bodily injury or death to two or more persons in one accident, and $25,000 for property damage. Nebraska also requires uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage for bodily injury at statutory minimum limits.
- Confirm the declarations page, covered vehicle and actual liability limits.
- Identify UM/UIM limits and every potentially applicable first-party policy.
- Investigate owner, household, employer, commercial, umbrella and excess coverage when the facts support additional policies.
- Do not assume statutory minimum limits represent the total insurance available for the crash.
