Texas government-vehicle claims can fall within the Texas Tort Claims Act’s waiver for property damage, personal injury or death arising from the operation or use of a motor-driven vehicle or equipment by an employee acting within the scope of employment, subject to statutory conditions and immunity rules.
- Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 101.101 generally requires written notice within six months after the incident describing the damage or injury, time and place, and incident, subject to actual-notice provisions and valid local charter requirements.
