ARKANSAS AUTO INSURANCE GUIDE
Arkansas Uninsured & Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Arkansas law provides statutory uninsured-motorist and underinsured-motorist protections subject to written rejection procedures. Coverage analysis therefore begins with the policy, declarations, endorsements and any signed rejection.
- Obtain every declarations page and UM/UIM endorsement that may apply.
- Verify whether UM or UIM was rejected in writing as permitted by statute.
- Identify each person who qualifies as an insured under each policy.
- Review offsets, exclusions, priority, anti-stacking language and settlement-consent provisions before releasing the liability claim.
